Wat


Wat Khmer Buddhist Serey Soursdey is a Khmer Buddhist temple on Fanshawe Park Road East in London, Ontario, Canada.[1] It is also known as Wat Khmer London and as the Khmer Buddhist Serey Sousdey Temple of London.[2][3]

History

The temple was registered as a charity in 2001, under the name Khmer Buddhist Serey Sousdey Temple of London.[2][4] In 2011 the Venerable Choeung Phoeun was its spiritual director and the Venerable Buddhasovanno Meng Hinn its abbot.[1] A later listing names Preah Bhikkhu Meng Hinn Buddhasovanno as abbot and Preah Bhikkhu Chhouk Sim as vice-abbot.[3]

In 2011 the temple broadcast shows on LTC, Channel 95, on Fridays from 4 to 5 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to noon. They included Dhamma talks by the late Cambodian Vipassana Buddhist master the Venerable Ketodhammo Som Bunthoeun.[1]

In 2011 Temple News listed the phone 519-435-5496 and the fax 519-319-3593.[1] In 2016 a directory of Khmer temples in Canada listed 519-453-1721.[2] The temple's own page lists 1-519-453-5496 for phone and fax.[3]
