Details box for one dated event. Model and field guide: KhmerConnection:Field dictionary#Events. Title the page "Event name, Venue (Month Year)", using the start month.

Dates and times are written exactly as the organizer announces them, in the venue's local time, with the venue's IANA time zone. The page shows the time as written; only the calendar feed (Special:KCCalendar) converts it, for that date, so a 10:00 event stays at 10:00 across a daylight-saving change.

Fields:

  • name: event name (defaults to the page title). event_type: one of the types in the field dictionary. status: Scheduled (default), Cancelled, Postponed or Moved online.
  • start_date, end_date: YYYY-MM-DD. start_time, end_time: 24-hour local time. time_zone: IANA zone, required with a time. time_note: for events without published times, such as "Ask the temple for ceremony times".
  • venue: the venue's page, if it has one; its address is used unless address is given. venue_name: the venue as text when it has no page. online_url: join link for an online event. region: one region.
  • cost: Free, Donation welcome or Paid. cost_note: details.
  • organizer, performers: page titles separated by semicolons. part_of: parent page, such as Pchum Ben 2026.
  • website: organizer's announcement. registration: tickets or sign-up.
  • description: one neutral sentence, shown in lists and calendars but not on the page itself.
  • last_checked: YYYY-MM-DD. review_by: for a fundraiser without an end date, at most 90 days after last_checked.
  • place: the place as readers say it, such as "Long Beach, California"; used in event lists. host: who hosts, as text, when it differs from the organizer pages or there is no organizer page. key: a short stable id for lists and links, lowercase with hyphens, such as long-beach-samaki.
  • test: yes for test pages only.

Problems (a time without a zone, an unknown zone, no start date, a fundraiser without an end or review date, or a review date more than 90 days after the last check) put the page in Category:Events needing attention.

Key art: image (file name without File:), image_caption and image_alt. See KhmerConnection:Editing basics#Key art. An event without its own image uses the key art of the page in part_of, such as Pchum Ben 2026.
