Using the field dictionary

Use these terms when they fit the subject. Leave a field blank when its value is unknown; do not guess or add a placeholder just to complete the infobox. Explain nuance in ordinary article text.

The infobox identifies the kind of page automatically. Choose an outline from KhmerConnection:Page starters rather than entering an internal record type yourself.

Organization type

The type field takes one main type. Put additional activities in focus or the article.

Preferred value Use for Common wording mapped to this value
Wat Visitor-facing Khmer Buddhist temples and monasteries, distinct from their backing organizations Temple; wat; pagoda
Religious organization Independent religious organizations, including multi-Wat bodies; not a second listing for a Wat’s legal wrapper Religious association; religious network
Community association Mutual assistance, general community-service organizations and informal community groups with a documented identity Community center; mutual aid association
Arts and culture Arts organizations, ensembles and cultural organizations Dance troupe; cultural association
Cultural business Businesses whose work fits KhmerConnection's cultural scope Restaurant; market; studio; publisher
Cambodia aid Organizations providing relevant aid and development programs in Cambodia Cambodia-focused aid nonprofit
Advocacy Organizations focused on rights, policy and community organizing Rights group; advocacy network
Student Student organizations and campus associations Cambodian student association
Umbrella Organizations coordinating or representing other organizations Federation; umbrella council
Professional Professional and alumni associations Lawyers' association; professional network
Media News outlets and other community media organizations Newspaper; broadcaster
Education Education, teaching and research organizations Language school; education center
Civic Civic participation and community-affairs associations Civic association
Foundation Organizations primarily operating as foundations or giving institutions Philanthropic foundation

Choose by the organization's primary work, not its name alone. A studio is usually a Cultural business; a film is a creative work, not an organization.

Cultural business type

For a Cultural business, use the business_type field for the principal activity:

Preferred value Examples of common alternatives
restaurant Eatery; cafe serving meals
donut shop Doughnut shop
bakery Bakeshop; patisserie
grocery Market; supermarket
jewelry Jewellery store
bridal Bridalwear; formalwear
cultural goods Silk, traditional clothing, art, instruments or other Khmer cultural goods (not bridal or jewelry)
film studio Film production company
publisher Publishing house
record label Music label
bookstore Bookshop

Describe secondary activities in the article rather than forcing several business types into one field.

The header menus group these values: restaurant, bakery and donut shop are listed under Places → Restaurants and bakeries; grocery under Grocery stores; bridal, jewelry and cultural goods under Bridal and cultural shops. Other values appear under Groups → All organizations.

Geography

Field Meaning Preferred wording
city City or locality of the organization City name; not National or International
state State, province or equivalent region Full region name when known
country Country of the listed location United States rather than US or USA; United Kingdom rather than UK; New Zealand rather than NZ
hq_country Country of the headquarters Full country name
cambodia_location Locations where the organization works in Cambodia Names of the relevant places
impact_geography Area served by the organization or opportunity Plain descriptive wording

Headquarters and service area are different facts. Do not infer one from the other.

Opportunities

Preferred opportunity_type Meaning
Scholarship Support for a student's education
Grant Funding for a project, activity or other defined purpose
Fellowship A fellowship supporting research, creative work or professional development

Use award_description for the amount, range or non-cash support. Use application_window for the dated cycle or recurring application period. Write eligibility, sponsorship and application links in the corresponding article sections.

A closed application cycle does not establish that a program has ended. Do not change the operating status solely because a deadline has passed.

Operating status

Preferred status Meaning
active There is evidence of continuing operation or programming
dormant Activities are paused or infrequent, with support for that description
closed A Wat has ceased operating, supported by evidence; not merely a former building or retired directory entry
inactive The organization or program is no longer operating
historical The entry primarily documents a past institution or program
unverified Current operating status has not been established

A dead website alone does not prove inactivity. These labels concern the subject, not the quality of the article.

Wat directory visibility

Wat pages continue to use Organization; their internal RecordType remains Organization and their type is Wat. Do not create a separate Wat record family.

directory_visibility Meaning
listed Reviewed for default directory and Explore discovery; not a guarantee of open doors
review Withheld while visitor information, identity or a decision is unresolved
retired Retain useful historical content but exclude from default discovery

A Wat defaults to review and an unspecified Wat operating status becomes unverified. Other Organization pages default to listed for compatibility. A listed Wat must have status active or unverified; dormant, inactive, closed and historical Wats are not current-directory destinations. The temple directory additionally requires city and country, plus state for United States records. Review-held and retired pages remain searchable as historical/reference pages.

Use only the public Wat name in the title; move association labels into Associations. Capitalize the first letter of every word and lowercase the rest of public names and aliases; preserve Khmer script. Exact legal names and source quotations retain their documented spelling. Validate case-normalized title/alias collisions and disambiguate distinct Wats rather than merging them. Changing a display name is not by itself authorization for a page move.

The Wat's address and PrimaryContact describe visiting the Wat. Do not replace them with a registered office, donation address or an association contact without evidence of the appropriate role.

Wat associations

Use Template:Association beneath == Associations ==. An entry needs a stable page-local id, name, role and public source_url. Role is operator, owner, supporter or associated. Use associated only for a documented connection whose precise role is unresolved; shared premises alone are insufficient.

Backing-only entities are embedded entries: legal_name, identifiers, mailing_address, phone, contact and website belong to that association, not the physical Wat. The identifiers field remains scheme-labeled plain text in this minimal extension; do not restore the retired relationship/identifier helper system.

Independently significant organizations retain separate pages. Supply their exact canonical title in page and leave embedded legal/contact/identifier fields empty. The association entry stores the relationship and source, not a duplicate organizational record. The linked page uses its appropriate type, not Wat merely because it operates from temple premises.

Template:Association stores a named semantic subobject, not a separate wiki page. It never assigns RecordType=Organization or Type=Wat to that subobject. Relationship lookup uses AssociationWat and optionally AssociationPage. Translated pages display the entry but do not duplicate semantic annotations. Additional fact-specific sources and historical qualifications belong in adjoining prose.

Retired listings need a source-supported alternative Wat note, or an explicit unresolved visitor-guidance limitation. Nearby unrelated Wats are links, not redirects. Redirect only for approved and verified same-Wat continuity, rename, duplicate or successor. Confirm that the alternative is not itself retired or review-held; identify road versus straight-line distance and check date when distance is published.

Books and films

Use the Book or Film outline for a creative work, not Organization. A publisher or film studio can have its own Organization page; its books and films are separate subjects.

Book fields

Field Meaning
title The book's title; if blank, the page title is displayed
title_khmer Khmer title, when documented
author Author names as ordinary text; add a wiki link only when appropriate
book_type Broad literary form from the preferred terms below
year Four-digit year of first publication; explain uncertain dates in prose
language Original language; separate several with semicolons
publisher Publisher, with edition context in the article when needed
isbn An actual ISBN, preserving zeros and punctuation; identify the edition it belongs to

Preferred book_type terms:

Term Use for
Fiction A novel or other fictional work
Short-story collection A collection of short stories
Poetry A poetry volume or collection
Memoir An author's personal recollections
Nonfiction Factual writing not better described by another listed form
Reference A dictionary, encyclopedia or reference work
Instructional A teaching text, manual or instructional book
Graphic narrative A comic or other sequential-art narrative

Use the most useful form, leaving details to prose. A children's book can be fiction, poetry or nonfiction; its intended audience does not replace its literary form.

The first-publication year and original language describe the work. A translation or later edition may have a different publisher, language, year and ISBN. Explain those together in Publication and editions rather than mixing details from several editions into one unqualified infobox.

Film fields

Field Meaning
title The film or screen-series title; if blank, the page title is displayed
title_khmer Khmer title, when documented
director Director names as ordinary text
film_format Feature, Short or Series
film_type Fiction, Documentary, Experimental or Mixed
year Four-digit year of first release; describe later releases in the article
language Original language; separate several with semicolons
country Production country or countries, not the story's setting
runtime Plain text such as a number of minutes; identify the version when needed
screened_at Exact page title of the festival or screening organization where the film was shown, such as Cambodia Town Film Festival; separate several with semicolons

Format and film type are separate: a short documentary uses film_format=Short and film_type=Documentary.

Preferred term Meaning
Feature Feature-length film
Short Short film
Series A screen series considered as a whole
Fiction A fictional screen work
Documentary A nonfiction documentary work
Experimental A work best described as experimental
Mixed A work combining classifications where one label would be misleading

Describe animation, genres and other details in prose. For a series, qualify running time by episode when necessary. Do not force an uncertain classification or year into a field.

Credits, related works and access

Other credits, adaptations, edition references, sources and access links use ordinary article sections. No reference helper, internal ID or separate biography page is required.

Use the optional subjects field for broad topics from the dictionary below. Browse Books and Films separately.

ISBN means International Standard Book Number. An ISBN is a source-assigned identifier for a particular edition or format, not an internal wiki reference ID.

Traditions and music

Tradition fields

A Tradition page describes a living practice: a ceremony, festival, performing art, craft, foodway or language practice. Keep the practice separate from an organization that observes it and from a dated event.

Use name for the most widely used English or romanized name, name_khmer for the Khmer spelling, and also_known_as for other spellings and regional names, separated by semicolons.

For tradition_type, use one broad term:

Preferred value Typical coverage
Ceremony A ritual with a defined sequence, such as a wedding or ordination
Commemoration A day of remembrance or a national anniversary, such as the National Day of Remembrance
Festival A recurring communal celebration, often calendar-based
Religious practice Devotional or merit-making practice and observance
Performing art Dance, music, theatre and recitation forms
Craft practice Making and material skills passed between practitioners
Foodway Preparation and eating practices and their occasions
Language practice Naming, greeting, honorific and literacy practices
Life passage Birth, coming of age, marriage and funerary practice
Martial art Fighting and self-defence traditions and their training practice
Game Play, contests and seasonal games, including those tied to festivals

A game played mainly at one festival is still a Game; name the festival in occasion rather than changing the practice type.

Use occasion for when the practice usually happens, in ordinary words such as “Khmer New Year”, “Pchum Ben”, “weddings” or “year-round”. Leave it blank rather than inventing a fixed calendar rule.

Music release fields

A MusicRelease page describes a published release: an album, single or compilation. Use title, title_khmer, and artist for the credited performer or group as printed on the release.

For release_type, use one term:

Preferred value Typical coverage
Album A full-length release
EP A short release, longer than a single
Single One or two tracks issued on their own
Compilation Tracks gathered from several sources or artists
Live recording A release documenting a performance
Reissue A later release of earlier recorded material

Use year for the first release year and label for the issuing label when one is named. Write “self-released” in the article rather than inventing a label name.

Songwriters, arrangers, guest performers, track lists and listening links are ordinary article content. Do not create a separate page for every track.

Collections and recordings

Collection fields

A Collection page describes an oral-history or archival collection that an institution or project holds. KhmerConnection indexes such collections; it does not hold, stream or grant access to the material itself.

Use name for the collection's official name as the holding institution writes it, name_khmer for a Khmer form of the name when one is published, and institution for the library, archive, museum, center or project that holds the material.

Use collection_scope for a short phrase describing what the collection covers, such as “Cambodian community life in Lowell, Massachusetts” or “survivor testimony recorded in Cambodia”. Counts, formats, date ranges and series belong in Material coverage.

Use catalogue_reference for the identifier the holding institution assigns to the collection, copied exactly, including leading zeros and punctuation. Leave it blank when no identifier is published; do not invent one.

Recording fields

A Recording page describes one interview, testimony or other recording that a collection holds. The page is an index entry and a description, not a copy of the recording.

For recording_type, use one term:

Preferred value Typical coverage
Interview A complete recorded interview with one or more narrators
Excerpt A clip or selected passage taken from a longer recording
Oral history A recorded life history, often in several sessions
Public testimony Testimony given in a hearing, tribunal or public forum
Performance recording A recorded performance of music, dance, theatre or recitation
Radio or broadcast recording A program recorded for radio, television or another broadcast
Podcast episode One released episode of a podcast or video series
Video A standalone video that is not an episode of a series
Trailer A short preview of a series or work, usually shown on the series page rather than given its own entry
Event recording A recording of a talk, panel, launch or other event

An interview and an excerpt of that interview are different recordings. Give the excerpt its own entry, mark it Excerpt, and say in the article which longer recording it comes from.

Use narrator for the person whose account is recorded and interviewer for the person asking the questions. Where a source names only one person without saying which role they held, put the name in the role the source states and leave the other field blank.

Use recording_date for the date the recording was made, as the source gives it. The historical period a narrator discusses is different and belongs in ordinary prose; a 2019 interview about the 1970s carries a 2019 recording date.

Use collection for the title of the Collection page that holds the recording, duration for a stated running time, and catalogue_reference for the item identifier exactly as the catalog prints it.

Episode fields

An episode of a podcast or video series is a Recording with the type Podcast episode. Title the page "Series, Season N Episode N: Guest", such as The Threaded Path, Season 1 Episode 1: Chef Nak, and put the episode's own title in title. Clips, shorts and trailers do not get their own pages; a trailer is embedded on the series page.

  • series: exact title of the series' Publication page. The episode then appears there, and under Latest episodes on Podcasts and videos.
  • season and episode: plain numbers.
  • release_date: the release date the publisher gives, written YYYY-MM-DD. Episodes without a release date are not listed.
  • release_time and time_zone: only for a scheduled premiere. Write the local 24-hour time the publisher announces and its IANA zone, such as 10:00 and America/Los_Angeles. The time is stored as written and is never shifted for daylight saving.
  • host and guests: exact titles of creator pages, separated by semicolons. The episode is then listed under Appears in on each of those pages. A guest is not automatically a creator of the episode.
  • video: the YouTube video ID, the 11 characters after watch?v=. It adds the player and a thumbnail in episode lists.
  • summary: one sentence of 160 characters or fewer, in your own words, shown under the title in episode lists.

Write a short original summary of the episode in your own words. Do not copy long passages from the episode description or transcript, and link platforms only where the publisher confirms them.

Events

An Event page is one dated public event: a ceremony, festival, performance, screening, talk, class, meeting, market, sports day, conference, online premiere or fundraiser. Title it "Event name, Venue (Month Year)", using the start month, such as Kathin, Wat Khmer Kampuchea Krom (November 2026). A yearly festival that is not tied to one venue can use its city instead. Keep the event separate from the Tradition it observes and from the Organization that hosts it. Outline: KhmerConnection:Page starters#Event.

Weekly and monthly programs, such as Sunday Khmer classes, are not Event pages. Add them to the venue page with Template:KC schedule under a Regular schedule heading.

Event type

Value Use for
Religious ceremony Temple ceremonies and blessings, such as Pchum Ben, Kathin or Visak Bochea
Festival or celebration New Year, Water Festival and other community festivals
Performance or concert Dance, music and theater performances
Film screening Screenings, including festival screenings
Talk or panel Talks, panels, readings and book launches
Conference Multi-session gatherings with a program, such as a youth or scholars' conference
Class or workshop One-off classes and workshops; weekly classes belong in a schedule
Community meeting Association meetings, town halls and information sessions
Market or fair Markets, fairs, food and craft sales
Sports Tournaments, runs and sports days
Fundraiser Fundraisers of organizations and community causes; listed on Fundraisers, not on Events
Online premiere Online-only first showings, such as a video premiere; podcast premieres come from Recording pages instead

Region

One of: SoCal, Bay Area, Central Valley, Pacific Northwest, New England, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Texas, Southeast, Canada, France, Australia, Cambodia, Online. Each region has its own calendar on Subscribe to a calendar. Use Online only when there is no in-person venue.

Event fields

  • start_date, end_date: YYYY-MM-DD. Leave out the end date for a one-day event.
  • start_time, end_time: the local 24-hour time the organizer announces, such as 18:30. time_zone: the venue's IANA zone, such as America/Los_Angeles, America/New_York, Europe/Paris or Asia/Phnom_Penh; required whenever a time is given. The time is stored as written and never shifted for daylight saving. When the organizer gives no times, leave them out and use time_note.
  • status: leave blank while the event is on. Use Cancelled, Postponed or Moved online when the organizer announces it; the page and list stay, with a notice, and calendars show the change.
  • venue: exact title of the venue's page. Its address is shown and used in calendars, so give address only when the event is somewhere else or the venue has no page, and then venue_name as well.
  • online_url: the join link for an online or hybrid event, or the giving page of an online fundraiser.
  • cost: Free, Donation welcome or Paid. cost_note: the prices or conditions as the organizer states them.
  • organizer and performers: exact page titles, separated by semicolons.
  • part_of: a parent page, such as a yearly campaign page like Pchum Ben 2026.
  • website: the organizer's own announcement, which is the source for the listing. registration: tickets or sign-up, if separate.
  • description: one neutral sentence of 160 characters or fewer, shown in lists and calendars.
  • last_checked: the date you checked the details against the organizer's announcement.
  • review_by: for a fundraiser without an end date only, the date by which it must be checked again, at most 90 days after last_checked. It is not listed after that date.

Put a flyer under the Program heading at 320 px with alt text that gives its key facts, such as [[File:Kathin-2026-flyer.jpg|320px|alt=Kathin flyer: November 8, 2026, 9 a.m., Wat Khmer Kampuchea Krom]].

Past events stay as a record. They leave Events after their end date and remain in Browse events by year.

Holiday dates

Holidays and observances are not Event pages. Each date is one Template:KC holiday line: on the Tradition page for Buddhist and cultural days, and on Khmer holidays for national days without their own page. The dates appear on Khmer holidays, in the month lines of Events, in the Khmer holidays calendar and in the Next row of the Tradition page.

  • kind: Buddhist, Khmer cultural, National or Observance.
  • start, end: the dates observed in Cambodia, YYYY-MM-DD. For a festival longer than its public holiday, such as Pchum Ben, give the full observance and put the official days in public.
  • public: Yes, No, or the official days when they differ.
  • name_khmer: only when a source prints it.

Take public holiday dates from the government's holiday calendar for that year, published by sub-decree each September, and lunar dates from a Khmer lunar calendar; check lunar dates against a second calendar. Add the next year's dates each September.

Regular schedule fields

Template:KC schedule takes name; one pattern (days for weekly, days with nth such as first or last for a monthly weekday, or month_day for a monthly date); start_time, end_time and time_zone as above; optional from, until and except dates; and event_type, cost, region and description. Days are written in English, such as Sunday, separated by semicolons.

Creators

A creator page describes a person or ensemble with at least one cited work on this site. It documents a body of work, not a life, and it is never promotional.

Creator fields

  • name and name_khmer: the name used in publication, and the name in Khmer script when a source prints it. Leave the Khmer field empty rather than entering a romanisation.
  • aliases: pen names, stage names and spelling variants, separated by semicolons. Khmer names romanise several ways, and this field is where the variants belong.
  • roles: one or more of Actor, Author, Composer, Content creator, Craftsperson, Chef, Educator, Ensemble, Filmmaker, Journalist, Master practitioner, Model, Musician, Oral historian, Photographer, Scholar, Tradition bearer, Visual artist. Several roles are normal. Actor, Model and Content creator each need their own evidence, as set out in KhmerConnection:Scope.
  • ensemble: any value marks a group rather than an individual, so a band or troupe is not described as a person.
  • active_period: plain words such as 1960s or since 1998.
  • country: where the creator works, not where they were born.
  • recognition: awards, fellowships and honors, each supported by a source. Living Heritage status conferred on traditional art masters belongs here.
  • website: the creator's own site.

There are deliberately no fields for birth date, birthplace, family members, education or contact details.

Connecting works to creators

Every content template accepts an optional creators field holding the exact titles of creator pages, separated by semicolons. Fill it in on the work, not on the creator: the creator page lists its own works automatically from those links.

The existing author, director and artist fields stay as they are. They hold plain text and sometimes name a publication rather than a person, so they are left alone and creators is added deliberately when a creator page exists.

Subjects

The optional subjects field uses broad cultural topics. Separate more than one with semicolons.

Preferred value Typical coverage
Language & Literacy Language learning, reading and writing
Literature & Storytelling Books, literature and storytelling
Film & Moving Image Cinema, filmmaking and moving-image works
Music & Sound Music, sound and musical practice
Dance & Theatre Dance, theatre and stage performance
Visual Arts & Design Visual art and design
Crafts & Material Culture Craft traditions and material culture
Food & Foodways Dishes, recipes and food practices
Religion & Spiritual Life Religious and spiritual practices and institutions
Celebrations & Life Passages Festivals, ceremonies and life events
Family & Intergenerational Life Family knowledge and connections across generations
Migration & Diaspora Migration and diaspora experiences
History & Remembrance History, memory and commemoration
Community & Civic Life Community institutions and civic participation
Work & Livelihoods Work, economic life and livelihoods
Land, Place & Environment Places, landscapes and environmental connections
Gender & Sexuality Gender and sexuality in community and cultural life

For example, use Film & Moving Image rather than making Movies a separate subject label. Subjects do not replace the organization's type.

Audience and languages

For the optional audience field, use Children; Youth; Adults; Families; Educators; Researchers; or General. Separate several values with semicolons.

Use familiar language names such as Khmer, English or French. Languages can be stated in a relevant infobox field or ordinary prose. Distinguish an original language, a translation and subtitles when relevant; do not infer a language from someone's name.

Dishes and recipes

Use these dish_types values: Soup; Curry; Salad; Noodle dish; Rice dish; Snack; Dessert; Condiment; Beverage; Other. More than one may apply; separate them with semicolons.

The Recipe dish field is the title of the parent Dish page. Use the same page title rather than creating spelling variants.

instruction_status Meaning
Recipe available Ingredients and preparation instructions are supplied
Partial instructions Instructions are incomplete

This status describes instruction availability, not testing or food-safety certification.

Optional family_surname_1, family_surname_2 and family_label provide public attribution with permission. A family label can replace disclosed surnames. Do not treat surnames as a unique key or require a private birth or maiden name.

Describe regional connections in prose. Useful phrases include Documented origin, Regional variant, Local specialty, Commonly prepared and Diaspora adaptation, followed by a place and a source. Do not assign an exclusive origin without evidence.

Names and terms

  • Khmer names: on first mention in prose, give the English name, the Khmer script and the romanization, for example Water Festival (បុណ្យអុំទូក, Bon Om Touk). Use the romanization the community commonly uses. name_khmer and title_khmer hold Khmer script only.
  • The Khmer Rouge: written with the article and capitalized. The state it ran is Democratic Kampuchea (1975 to 1979). Give death tolls as ranges with their source.
  • Wat: capitalized, in names and on its own.
  • Cambodia Town: capitalized, for the Long Beach neighborhood.
  • Buddha image: rather than statue.
  • Titles: use the title the community uses on first mention, such as Venerable or Preah Maha for a monk or King for the monarch, then the plain name.
  • Spelling and numbers: American spelling. Dates as September 13, 2026. Metric units with an imperial conversion for objects and sites. Numbers one to nine as words.

Dates, numbers and sources

Use a four-digit year for an organization's founded field. Put approximate periods, conflicting dates and explanations in History rather than forcing them into a numeric field.

Use ordinary wording for real registration numbers and bibliographic identifiers, preserving leading zeros and punctuation. Do not create internal reference IDs.

Credits, catalog references, adaptation links and access links belong in ordinary article sections. See KhmerConnection:References and access for examples.

Publications

Use Template:Publication for a named continuing editorial project. The publication_type values are Magazine; Newsletter; Podcast; Video series; Journal; Social editorial feed. Separate several values with semicolons only when the project explicitly has several forms. These are forms, not platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Substack and YouTube are not publication types.

The name identifies the publication rather than a legal publisher. name_khmer is optional and requires a published Khmer-script name. description, subjects and audience use the existing shared conventions. The language field describes the material itself, not the interface language of a listing.

The optional publisher is a public credit, not a required Organization page or an assumption about incorporation. Host, editor, founder and guest credits remain in ordinary prose. creators links only existing eligible Creator pages for documented creators of the publication; an interviewed guest is not automatically a creator.

The website is a confirmed canonical publication, archive or show-level destination. If only an individual episode is confirmed, omit this parameter and label that episode link accurately in the access section. Multiple channels and language editions belong in ordinary access rows with an action, access note and citation.

Do not infer age suitability, editorial quality, independence, worldwide reach, release cadence or current operation. A planned season is not a released-episode count. A publication's region of coverage is not its headquarters. Membership, follower and episode counts are not required.

Community participation

The optional Organization parameter participation_mode takes one value: Online; In person; Hybrid. It describes documented participation routes, not legal form or geography. Use Hybrid only when both modes are evidenced. Omit it when unknown.

Community association can include informal social and cultural groups; Professional remains the type for a professional network when supported. Do not replace an existing substantive type with a platform name. No physical address or legal identifier is required.

Access destinations

For each useful destination, provide its public label and URL, what a visitor can do there, and any supported access condition. Keep those details in the same row so a private discussion group is not confused with a public announcement account.

Check link availability separately from identity, administrator confirmation and activity. Login required does not mean closed; a missing page does not prove the community has ended. Do not mark an entire entry verified because one link works. Document source basis and check dates in review records, not as a misleading blanket badge.

Journal and social editorial feed boundaries

Journal

A named continuing editorial publication that presents scholarly, professional, critical or literary contributions through issues or an ongoing article series and identifies itself as a journal.

Journal does not imply peer review, accreditation or reliability. Source those claims separately. An ISSN, fixed schedule, incorporation or separate publisher page is not required. A single paper, one-off report, personal diary or education organization is not a Journal record.

Social editorial feed

A named continuing editorial project whose primary publication is a public sequence of substantively authored or curated social posts, organized around a coherent Khmer-connected subject, perspective or cultural purpose.

The record identifies the editorial project, not each platform account. Routine organization announcements, personal profiles without a distinct editorial project, sales catalogs, indiscriminate repost collections, spam and member-discussion groups do not qualify as this publication form.

Followers and comments do not establish a participatory association. A podcast's promotional Facebook account is normally a channel of the Podcast, not a second Social editorial feed. Use several publication types only when genuinely distinct forms of the same project are evidenced.

Use a clear publisher description or representative substantive output to establish editorial identity and scope. An About capture and three to five representative posts across different dates are a useful first-review sample, not a universal minimum-post or popularity rule. Link to examples rather than republishing protected posts.

Reuse the existing Publication fields. A confirmed canonical public social destination can fill website; do not require a standalone website. Explain role-specific credits, editorial policies, identifiers and access conditions in sourced prose. Do not add public follow-state, engagement or assumed age-suitability fields.
