Southeastern Michigan Cambodian Association
The Southeastern Michigan Cambodian Association (SEMCA) is a nonprofit Cambodian community association in Pontiac, Michigan.[1] It is based at Wat Khmer Monirattanaram on Norton Street and works in Khmer and English.[1][2]
Programs
SEMCA offers free in-person Khmer classes taught by Dr. Vong, open to all ages and levels. The classes cover reading and writing, conversation, and Cambodian culture and heritage. Donations are welcome.[3][4]
The fall 2026 term meets at Wat Khmer Monirattanaram on Sundays from September 13 to November 22, 2026, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. There are no classes on September 27 and October 4. Bia Keo and Narith Pahn are the contacts for the classes.[3][4]
Community
SEMCA partners with Rising Voices, the Hmong Family Association and other Asian Pacific Islander organizations. In Cambodia it works with Mission25 to support people in need.[3]
