Wat
Watt Preah Puth Mean Chey
Watt Preah Puth Mean Chey is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist temple in Macdonald Park, South Australia, in the Adelaide metropolitan area.[1] It is run by the Watt Preah Puth Mean Chey Association Inc, a nonprofit organization.[1]
Religious life
The association offers lessons in meditation, prayer and scripture, and states that it is dedicated to the Dharma and spiritual enlightenment. It names support, empowerment and progress as the ideas it was founded on, and it states that the temple welcomes everybody without discrimination. Volunteering is part of its work.[1] The community gathers at the temple for worship, meditation and cultural celebrations.[2]
In 2021 the association set itself the goal of finishing the temple, so that the public would have a traditional place of worship.[1] The association's treasurers are Sokhom Khun and Sonita Veayo.[1]
Visiting
As of 2026 the temple was listed as open 24 hours and wheelchair accessible. Business listings give its street as Laxton Road.[2][3]
