Wat Vongkut Boreyram (East 44th Street, Tacoma)
Wat Vongkut Boreyram (វត្តវង្កតបូរីរាម), also known as the Khmer Theravadin Buddhist Temple, is a Theravada Khmer Buddhist temple in Tacoma, Washington.[1][2]
History
Published address listings for the temple date from 2011 to 2019. In 2014 a directory of Khmer Buddhist temples listed Wat Vongkut Boreyram at 1420 East 44th Street, with the telephone number (253) 475-1423.[3] A 2024 list of Khmer temples in Washington gave the same address with the telephone numbers (253) 475-2903 and (253) 475-8094, and wrote the Khmer name as វត្តវង្គតបូរីរាម.[4] The 2026 edition of a directory of Cambodian Buddhist temples in the United States lists the temple with the Khmer Theravadin Buddhist Association of Tacoma and one monk.[1]
Other directory entries under the name Vongkut Boreyram, at South 21st Street and at G Street in Tacoma, are separate listings from the East 44th Street temple.[3][2]
