Wat Swiskhemararam is a Theravada Khmer Buddhist temple in Péry, in the canton of Bern, Switzerland.
History
The Stiftung Wat Swiss Khemrakram, a nonprofit foundation, was founded on March 30, 2022, and is registered at Rue de la Cascade 5 in Péry, with its seat in Péry-La Heutte.[1] Its purpose is to cultivate and promote Buddhism in Switzerland, especially by teaching Cambodian Buddhism. It supports the monastic order of men and women, among other ways by letting them live in its premises free of charge, and it works throughout Switzerland. Its profits and capital go only to these purposes. The latest change to its entry was published in the Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce on April 18, 2024.[1]
