Wat Sokharam is a Khmer Buddhist temple on Bristow Road in Bowling Green, Kentucky.[1]
History
The temple follows Theravada Buddhism and holds Khmer religious services. In 2014 a national directory of Khmer temples listed it as Watt Sokharam Buddhist Temple Assoication, Inc., at 1561 Brisow Road, Bowling Green, KY 42103.[1]
The temple's nonprofit, Watt Sokharam Buddhist Temple Of Bowling Green Inc, received federal tax exemption in October 2015. The IRS classes it as a church, so it is not required to file annual returns. For each of the fiscal years ending in December 2013 and December 2014 it reported $1,500 in revenue and no expenses.[2]
