Wat

Wat Meangkolvorn (វត្តមង្គលវ័ន) is a Cambodian Buddhist temple on Millbrae Avenue in Santa Rosa, California.[1][2] It is one of the Wat Khmer, or Khmer temples, of the Bay Area.[3]

History

In 2011 the temple was listed as the Watt Meangkolvorn Santa Rosa Association, with the Venerable Chim Un as abbot. Its telephone number then was 707-206-0152, and its website was http://www.wattmeangkolvorn.org.[4][2] Today the temple goes by Wat Meangkolvorn.[1]

Religious life

For Kan Ben and Pchum Ben in 2026, the days for honoring the dead and the ancestors, the temple holds chanting and prepares food for the souls from 4 to 7 p.m. each day from September 25 to October 9. On October 10 and 11, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the monks chant and receive food offerings, and the community makes merit.[1]
