Wat Khmer Austin (វត្តខ្មែរអូស្ទីន, Wat Khmer Austin) is a Khmer Buddhist temple on Werchan Lane in Coupland, Texas.[1][2]
History
Published address listings for the temple date from 2011 to 2019. The 2026 edition of a directory of Cambodian Buddhist temples in the United States listed it at 17645 Werchan Lane, with no resident monks.[1] The temple credits the dedication and hard work of its volunteers with improvements at the temple.[2]
Religious life
The community gathers at the temple to celebrate Cambodian New Year. It also keeps Visak Bochea, a holy day that marks the birth, enlightenment and passing into nirvana of the Buddha.[2]
