History

Published address listings for the project date from 2011 to 2019. As of 2026 the project was at an early stage. Its aim was to establish Wat Dhammadana Temple in California for Bhikkhu Brahmajoto Pheng Koung, and it was in its initial fundraising phase. Its mailing address was 17431 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706. The organizers say the temple will serve the growing Buddhist community and all who seek the Dhamma.[1]

Teaching

As of 2026 the Venerable Pheng Kuong leads a guided meditation session on Zoom on Sundays from 7 to 8 p.m. Pacific time and teaches an Abhidhamma class, on Buddhist philosophy, on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. He is pursuing a doctorate in Buddhist ministry and serves an internship with veterans at a VA hospital.[1]

Community

Wat Khmer Bellflower Buddharam, at 8845 Walnut Street, is a separate Khmer temple in Bellflower. It keeps regular temple hours, and visits are arranged in advance.[2]
