Wat Chantarangsey Khmer Krom
Wat Chantarangsey Khmer Krom is a Khmer Krom Buddhist temple on Golden Given Road East in Tacoma, Washington.[1] It is also known as Wat Khmer Krom.[2]
History
The temple is registered as a nonprofit under the name Watt Chantarangsey Khmer Krom Buddhist Temple, with an IRS ruling year of 1999. As a church, it is not required to file an annual return with the IRS. Its stated purpose is to provide religious services, Cambodian cultural activities and education.[3] An earlier address book of Khmer Buddhist temples listed it as Wat Chandarangsey Khmer Krom.[4]
Community
The Khmer Language Arts and Culture Academy (KLACA) lists the temple among its community partners.[1] On April 14, 2024, the temple was a venue for Cambodian New Year celebrations in the Puget Sound area.[2]
