Film

The Photographer is a feature documentary by Calvin Keo about a former refugee and genocide survivor who retraces his photographic past.[1] On his journey in search of closure, he reconnects with the loved ones he left behind.[1]

Production and credits

Calvin Keo wrote, produced and directed the film. Linna Bun was a producer, and Moy Keo is the key cast member.[1] IMDb also credits Linna Bun as a co-writer.[2] The film took three and a half years to make, from first idea to completion.[2]

Keoline Entertainment produced the documentary. It is a Canadian production and was filmed in Canada. It is in Khmer, Thai and English and runs two hours and 13 minutes.[2]

Release

The film was released in Canada on November 3, 2019.[2] It had its world premiere at the 2020 virtual edition of the Cambodia Town Film Festival.[1]
