Taro is an elderly widower whose children have grown up, started families and homes of their own, and drifted out of his life.[3][2] He spends his quiet days at the tea shop of his longtime friend Sun.[3] Longing to bring the family together, Taro fakes his own death with Sun's help.[3] His children gather at the house where they grew up, old wounds open, and the family faces its fractured past.[3][2] What follows is a fragile reconnection shaped by memory, regret and unspoken affection.[3]
