Phnom Penh Pho is a Cambodian restaurant on East Pawnee Street in Wichita, Kansas, which opened in early 2026.[1] The food blog Wichita By E.B. called it the city's only restaurant specializing in Khmer food.[1] It took over the former Saigon Bistro space.[2]

Food

Pho is on the menu and in the name so that Wichita diners have a familiar dish, but it is not the specialty.[1][2] The restaurant blends Vietnamese and Cambodian cooking, and its Khmer dishes include Phnom Penh noodle soup, or kuy teav, a traditional breakfast dish made with pork bones and dried squid.[3][1] A sour lemongrass soup with jalapeño, celery, eggplant, bell pepper and pork rib comes to the table in a covered pot set in a box to stay warm, with rice on the side.[1] The chef's specials, served with steamed rice, include a sour tamarind soup with catfish, taro stem and pineapple, a whole fried fish with ginger and bean sauce, and shaking beef.[3]
