Oral history interview with Venerable Sao Khon
The oral history interview with Venerable Sao Khon is a 1987 interview about Cambodian literature and folklore.[1] George Chigas conducted it, and its transcript is part of the Southeast Asians in Lowell Collection.[1]
About the recording
The transcript forms the chapter titled Folklore in an 84-page manuscript of nine chapters. The manuscript records the traditional crafts and religious ceremonies of Cambodian refugees who settled in Greater Lowell after the Cambodian genocide.[1] In the interview, Venerable Sao Khon speaks about literature and folklore, and Heng Bun Chea serves as interpreter.[1]
