Monorom Cambodian Restaurant
Monorom Cambodian Restaurant is a Cambodian restaurant on East Anaheim Street in Cambodia Town, Long Beach, California.[1] It serves Khmer noodles, soup and bread with grilled beef.[2] Its name is also given as Senmonorom. In 2019 the owner said the word means "delightful" and brings to mind peaceful simplicity.[3]
History
The restaurant was established in 2010 and later came under new ownership and management.[2] In 2021 it was owned by Adam Van, who also owned Udom Khmer Restaurant. He said Monorom had stayed open through the COVID-19 shutdowns.[4] He later sold Monorom.[5]
Food
The menu focuses on Khmer dishes popular with the Cambodian community in Long Beach, including Cambodian-style boat noodles with springy, chewy noodles and loat cha.[3] Grilled meats include beef sticks, served with fresh cucumber and green papaya.[6] Angkor Beer is served.[3]
