Kim Sun Kitchen
Kim Sun Kitchen is a small counter-service restaurant on Cherry Avenue in North Long Beach, California, serving Chinese and Cambodian food.[1][2][3] Its menu leans toward Chinese dishes, but the Cambodia Town native James Tir says that diners who know what to order can find "some really wonderful Cambodian dishes."[1][4]
Food
Tir's picks are the beef sticks, which he calls a good test of any Cambodian kitchen, and mee katang. The menu lists this dish as chow fun: wide rice noodles stir-fried with Chinese broccoli or carrots and topped with gravy.[1] Regulars also order the wonton egg noodle soup, spicy chicken rice porridge and crispy fried whole tilapia.[5] The bone marrow soup and fresh soy milk are on the menu too.[2] The Infatuation called it an excellent Cambodian-Chinese spot.[6]
Community
In 2021 the Battambong BBQ pop-up, a Texas-style barbecue with Cambodian flavors run by Chad Phuong, set up in the restaurant's parking lot.[7]
Visiting
The restaurant has about 10 tables and also offers takeout.
