Children of Cambodia's Killing Fields
Dith Pran compiled the memoirs and DePaul edited them. Yale University Press released the book on May 1, 1997.[2][3] The book gathers eyewitness accounts by Cambodians who survived the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s as children.[4] Their memoirs tell of suffering, lost childhood, survival and recovery, and they bear witness to brutality, starvation and executions.[5][4] Photographs accompany the narratives, and DePaul took the photograph on the cover.[5]
