Gourmet House Restaurant is a restaurant on Hope Street in Providence, Rhode Island, serving home-style dishes from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and China.[1][2] The restaurant says its traditional home-style dishes are ones seldom found in other Asian or Chinese restaurants.[3]
Food
The menu includes Cambodian dishes. Among the starters are chicken nime chow and lort, and the soups include kaing kai soup and a Cambodian rice noodle soup.[1][4] The chef's specialties include beef loc lac, fried red snapper with Thai chili and garlic, and crispy salmon with fresh ginger and garlic. The salads include beef plear, tamarind salad and coconut dressing salad.[1]
The rest of the menu covers beef pho and beef brisket, beef stew and green curry soups, egg drop and wonton soups, fried egg noodles and satay noodles, and shrimp dishes such as orange shrimp and shrimp with asparagus. Drinks include honeydew and coconut bubble tea and Thai iced tea.[1][4]
