Cyclo Noodles is a Cambodian and Vietnamese noodle soup restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, California, open since 2012.[1] It takes its name from the cyclo, the bicycle pedicab of Southeast Asia.[1]

History

Cyclo opened on PCH in 2012 to bring Cambodian and Vietnamese recipes to the neighborhood.[2] Long Beach is home to one of the largest Cambodian communities outside Cambodia, and the restaurant says it was built to honor that community with Khmer dishes.[1] It also says Eater LA named it among the best Cambodian restaurants in Long Beach.[1]

Food

Every bowl starts with broth simmered for hours.[2] The menu runs from Khmer chicken noodle soup and chicken curry vermicelli to several kinds of pho, among them Pho Cyclo, chicken pho, vegetable pho and well-done brisket pho.[2][3] Thai dishes share the menu, including pad thai, pad see ew and spicy stir-fried noodles, along with fried rice, pineapple fried rice, beef on a stick, spring rolls, lettuce wraps and iced coffee.[2][4] The restaurant lists vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.[5]

Visiting

Cyclo is a counter-service restaurant in East Long Beach, near California State University, Long Beach and the Traffic Circle, with an outdoor patio and parking.[1] It serves lunch and dinner, and offers takeout, delivery and online ordering.[2][6][3][7]
