Organization

The Cambodian Association of Houston is a community organization in Houston, Texas, that serves Cambodian American families.[1] Its work centers on social services and community programming.

History

The association has been tax-exempt since October 1985. It is a 501(c)(3) public charity, classified as an educational organization.[1][2][3]

In August 1989 a dancer from the association appeared at the 18th annual Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio. She wore a traditional Cambodian dance costume: a robe covered with sparkling trim in a diamond pattern and a tall, heavily ornamented, pointed crown.[4]

The association has not filed a Form 990 return with the IRS.[1] In 2023 and 2024 it reported no assets and no income.[2][3]
