Atlanta Buddhist Temple
Atlanta Buddhist Temple was listed as a Cambodian Khmer Buddhist temple in Tucker, Georgia, in the Atlanta area.[1]
History
The temple's published address listings date from 2011 to 2019. A 2011 directory of Khmer wats in the United States listed it as entry 49, at 5804 Lawrendville HWY, Tucker, GA 30084, with the telephone number (770) 921-7495.[1]
The Rabbit's Horn, a blog on Buddhist centers in Georgia, photographed the temple in 2014 and placed it in Stone Mountain.[2][3] In a 2022 update, the blog recorded that the temple closed in 2019 after financial disputes with the property owners and that the property was later sold. It also noted that Chua Linh Mu, the Vietnamese temple next door, was not related.[2][4][3]
As of 2022, several other Cambodian temples were in the Atlanta area.[2] One of them, Sovannkiri Buddhist Temple at 2864 Centerville Highway in Snellville, held Khmer New Year activities in April 2025.[5]
