Temple Bouddhiste Abck is a Cambodian Theravada Buddhist temple in Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames, in the Seine-et-Marne department east of Paris.[1][2] The Association bouddhique et culturelle Khmère (ABCK), listed at the temple's address, has been a member of the Union Bouddhiste de France since 2011.[1][3]

History

The association was registered on March 31, 2005, as a declared association under the French law of 1901 on associations. Its SIREN number is 513 393 934.[4][5] An earlier establishment at the town hall of Bussy-Saint-Georges was active from March 2005 to June 2012 and has since closed. The association's registered office, now its only known establishment, is at 28 rue Cyprien Borgnon in Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames.[5][4]

Religious life

The ABCK is a Theravada center of Cambodian origin. The Venerable Sar Sastr founded the center and is its current spiritual authority.[1][6]

Union Bouddhiste de France

The ABCK has been a member of college C of the Union Bouddhiste de France, the national federation of Buddhist associations in France, since 2011. Other Khmer members of the federation in the Paris region include Wat Khemararam (Créteil), the Association pour le Soutien du Bouddhisme Khmer and the Association Bouddhique Khmère du Kampuchea-Krom.[3]
