Wat Buddharangsey (Texas)
Wat Buddharangsey (វត្តពុទ្ធរង្សី) is a Khmer Theravada Buddhist temple on Sellers Road in Houston, Texas.[1][2]
History
Temple directories list Wat Buddharangsey at 15211 Sellers Road, Houston, TX 77060. A 2014 directory of Khmer temples in the United States spells the name Wat Buddha Rangsey.[1][3] An older edition of the Cambodian National Directory lists the temple together with the Texas Buddhist Society at the Sellers Road address.[4]
The World Buddhist Directory carries two entries for the temple. One, for Wat Buddharangsey, gives its traditions as Theravada and Mahayana and its website as www.wat-buddharangsey.org. The other, for Wat Buddharangsey of Houston, gives its tradition as Theravada and Khmer and lists the Venerable Somboonsuk Swat as abbot and spiritual director.[2][5]
