Wat Preah Keo Morokat (វត្តព្រះកែវមក៌ត, Wat Preah Keo Morakot) is a Theravada Khmer Buddhist temple in Kaufman, Texas, formerly in Flower Mound.[1] It is the temple of the Cambodian Buddhist Society of North Texas, Inc., and in 2026 it had three monks.[1]

History

The temple was at 206 Cherokee Path in Flower Mound by 2012.[2] A 2013 list of Khmer Buddhist temples around the world placed it among the temples of Texas.[3] Its Flower Mound ZIP code is given as 75208 in some temple lists and as 75028 in others.[4][3][2]

The Cambodian Buddhist Society of North Texas has been a tax-exempt Buddhist religious organization since July 2003. Its registered address is 206 Cherokee Path in Flower Mound, Texas, in care of the temple.[5] In 2014 the temple itself was listed at that Flower Mound address, with the same telephone number it still uses.[6] The society later announced that the temple had relocated to 1578 County Road 278 in Kaufman, the address the 2026 directory gives.[1][7]

The 2026 directory pairs the temple with this society. The society's tax-exempt registration (TaxExemptWorld, 2024) is in care of Wat Preah Keo Morokat at 206 Cherokee Path, Flower Mound; the register spells the name "Cambodian Budhhist Society of North Texas Inc."
